As the debate over whether drag shows are appropriate for children rages on, one performer is saying an adult venue is no place for kids.
Recently, Tennessee enacted a law banning drag performances from public property or near schools. In response, actor Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick posted a video dancing in support of drag shows, saying, “Drag bans are bad karma.”
But Kitty Demure, a drag performer from Los Angeles, told Fox News that the video is “disgusting.”
“And I think people like Kevin Bacon – They’re not looking at what the real problem was. They’re avoiding discussing the real problem. And the problem is we don’t want children involved,” Demure said.
“I, as a gay man, I want to go into a gay club, have a mimosa or a drink or brunch and see a show and not hear kids crying. As a drag performer, I want to walk in and be comfortable and in my adult space and not have to worry about if I’m going to indoctrinate or offend children or anybody.
“And this is why kids do not belong in drag. This is an adult venue. It’s an adult entertainment. And I don’t understand why anybody pretends it’s not.”

Children do not belong any place there is a drag show. Drag show can have place , but Not in schools, Library,s, Parks , ect. Children do not need to see any Drag Queen show . Drag Queens keep your shows to your self, i dont care to see one either .

Drag queens like having kids because it grooms them to think it is normal behavior. In 10 or 15 yrs these kids will be voting. When Fla. banned public drag shows where kids could watch, rather than find private venues to put on their show where children were not allowed, they just stopped having them altogether, proving they wanted young children in the audience. If they could not groom a child it wasn’t worth putting on the 10 lbs. of makeup and dancing around in women’s underwear.

I disagree it is an adult venue and dhould remain an adult venue ! I personally do not enjoy them but that is my business !

No child should be exposed to such perversion. Just a few years ago, they would most likely,
have been arrested for exposing themselves to children as they’re doing today. Any and all
such lewdness should not be allowed around children of any age. I wouldn’t go across the street to see any of them.

Wonder- how many of the 3.91% who said they WOULD bring their kids, would bring their kids to a strip club? Weird, not ok to bring to strip club? Why not? but ok for drag? Or do they bring their kids to both? Huh!

as adults these folks are free to perform or attend any type show they want.
BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD KIDS BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND OR EVEN BY ACCIDENT BE EXPOSED
TO THIS TYPE OF ADULT ENTERTAINMENT AND ANY PARENT OR GUARDIAN THAT ALLOWS IT SHOULD BE ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH A FELONY AND AS MANY AS WOULD BE PERMISSABLE AND APPLICABLE UNDER CHILD ABUSE LAWS.
