Will You Be Watching the Trump-Biden Presidential Debate?

Here’s The Scoop

In a highly anticipated event, Joe Biden and Donald Trump will once again face off on the debate stage this Thursday, marking their first direct confrontation in four years. As both candidates aim for the White House in a tight rematch this coming November, their preparations and the debate’s unique format set the stage for an intriguing showdown.

Unlike traditional presidential debates, this event will feature no studio audience, a condition heavily pushed by Biden’s team. By eliminating the audience, the environment seeks to diminish what has historically been a crowd-energizing advantage for Trump. Both candidates will also see their microphones muted to prevent the kind of cross-talk that marred their 2020 meeting, ensuring a more controlled discussion.

Preparation strategies for this debate highlight the vast differences between the two candidates. Biden has opted for an insular approach, hunkering down at Camp David with his closest advisers, focusing on key themes that his campaign hopes will resonate with viewers. Trump, in contrast, has been out rallying supporters and participating in high-profile events like the Faith & Freedom Coalition gathering. During his rally in Philadelphia, Trump even polled the audience on whether he should adopt a “tough and nasty” or “nice and calm” demeanor, embodying his message of being in tune with his base.

The debate, hosted by CNN from their Atlanta studios, will be moderated by network anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. Airing live on multiple platforms including CNN International and CNN en Español, this pivotal event promises to capture national attention. It will feature no opening statements and will jump straight into questions with a structured format allowing two minutes per answer and one minute each for rebuttals and responses.

Interestingly, Biden’s campaign won the coin toss regarding debate logistics, choosing the right podium and putting Trump to the left of viewers’ screens. Conversely, Trump’s campaign secured the last word of the night, positioning Biden to give his closing statement first—a tactical move with potential psychological advantages.

The qualifications for participation were stringent, leading to the exclusion of independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who decried his omission as “undemocratic, un-American, and cowardly.” Meanwhile, neither Cornel West nor Green Party candidate Jill Stein met CNN’s thresholds.

As the clock ticks down to Thursday night, the contrast between the two leaders’ styles and strategies will be on full display. All eyes will be on Atlanta as the nation tunes in to witness what could very well be a defining moment in the 2024 presidential race.

This is just an extension of the rigged 2020 election. CNN the bias liberal mouthpiece for the Democrats and defender of Biden is a joke! Only, this time you can’t defend high inflation, high gas and food prices, an out of control southern border and a total which hunt prosecutions of Trump! President Trump should talk to America and act like Biden isn’t even in the room. Given his dementia he probably doesn’t know where he is!

While I understand why Trump is putting himself through this, I am not one who needs to sit and watch it in order to know who I’m voting for. I can’t even tolerate watching clips of these moderators and those like them on Newsmax or Real Americas Voice so no, I will not be, spending precious time watching

Using CNN as the media location for this ” debate” and Jake Tapper as the moderator really sends a message to viewers. Will be curious to see if the 2 stooges will be asked about Bowman’s loss in NYC. Don’t know whether to laugh or cry over this ” debate”.
