In a bold move to preserve traditional language and values, West Virginia lawmakers have introduced a bill aimed at eliminating so-called “woke words” from state government content. This initiative underscores a growing concern about the infiltration of gender ideology into official documents and communications.
The proposed legislation, which emphasizes “accurate, female-affirming alternatives,” seeks to replace terms like “pregnant people” with “pregnant women,” and “womxn” or “womyn” with “woman.” It also aims to remove dehumanizing phrases such as “birth-giver” in favor of simply “woman.” Proponents of the bill argue that these changes are necessary to maintain clarity and respect for biological realities.
The bill also addresses language related to breastfeeding, advocating for the use of “breastfeeding” instead of “chestfeeding,” and “breast milk” rather than “human milk.” These modifications are intended to counteract what critics see as confusing and unnecessary terminology that has been pushed by radical gender activists.
This legislative action comes in response to recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which included advice for transgender and non-binary individuals wishing to “chestfeed” their children. The guidance faced backlash from several medical professionals who raised concerns about the potential health risks to children consuming milk produced by individuals undergoing gender-reassignment treatments.
House Bill 2406, supported by 11 delegates, is set to take effect on June 1. This move aligns with a broader trend of questioning and resisting the imposition of gender ideology in public institutions. Notably, the CDC recently faced internal directives to remove gender-related terms from research manuscripts, reflecting a growing skepticism of gender ideology at the federal level.
West Virginia University has also joined the ranks of educational institutions reevaluating their diversity, equity, and inclusion offices amid accusations of reverse discrimination.
As the debate over language and gender continues, West Virginia’s legislative action represents a significant pushback against the imposition of progressive language norms, reinforcing the importance of traditional values and clear communication in government affairs.

West Virginia believes in Traditional Values and the BIBLE. The BIBLE states in Genesis, that GOD created he man and woman, he created every living creature in twos. Even with Noah and the flood, Noah was told to build the Ark and take 2 of every creature one male and one female. Not a he who believes he’s a she nor a she who believes she’s a he. Now granted there are, in the animal kingdom, creatures who change sex IN A SINGLE SEX ENVIRONMENT, but human’s are not in that situation.
A man or woman who thinks they belong as the other sex is MENTALLY not Physically confused. All young children and even some teenagers go through that phase, but they outgrow it. So leave the sexes separate as GOD intented.

I just don’t understand why all the politically correct BS has become a focal point. There are only 2 sexes, Male and Female. Either you were born 1 or the other. It doesn’t matter what terminology people come up with to change that fact, the fact is, they are still either a male or female. Do people have nothing else to dwell on but to make sure people use the right pronoun to describe themselves. It is ridiculous. The amount of tax payer money that has been wasted through USAID to force the DEI bs throughout the world is dumbfounding! It is just stupid! They, them does not explain anything except that there is a group of people. That is not a pronoun for a single person. It makes my skin crawl when I here people say, please refer to me as they are them. IDIOTIC!! I think we need to use the real definitions of words instead of changing them to further stupid people’s agendas!
