The democrats are trying to compromise our 1st amendment rights. In order to do this they have to remove the second amendment. The founding Fathers thought that the people should have the right to defend their rights and deemed it important and necessary to make the right to bear arms the second amendment not the 10th amendment. The politicians today have forgotten who they work for.

When people fear their government, there is tyranny. When government fears the people there is freedom. It is sad that in our great country there are so many people that do not understand this concept and are willing to be enslaved with the promise of safety and security.

Just what part of SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED do the politicians NOT understand ????? the DemonRat/Communists/Rinos are doing their best to remove We the Peoples Right to bare arms so they can then take over and RULE with an IRON FIST like the COMMUNISTS do. this is the time that our founders knew woudl come and that is EXACTLY WHY we now have the Second Amendment in our constitution.

Our founding fathers had no idea that weapons would evolve to the level of shooting so many people so quickly. And that these weapons would not be used to protect us from tyranny but to KILL OUR OWN PEOPLE, including hundreds if not thousands of innocent people each year. Can you possibly even grasp the idea that you can still have gun ownership while putting further background checks, waiting periods, etc. Also, it’s BEAR arms, not BARE arms, you knuckle dragging idiot.

The overwhelming vast majority of people killed with firearms are from illegally obtained pistols, not rifles of which the AR platforms are. According to FBI statistics twice as many people are killed each year by knives, fists, and hammers than are killed with rifles. Furthermore many popular hunting rifles as well as shotguns are simi-automatics and can hold no more than 3 bullets or shells and of course these would fall under the proposed draconian rules. Biden loves to make the comment citizens could not own cannons. BS! Plenty of people have owned cannons and you can bet if an AR platform had been given to our brave patriots fighting the British during the revolutionary war,….they would have used it. A better solution, people that misuse firearms to the detriment of others,…remove them from society FOREVER.

We HAVE to carry weapons? We are all required to do so? Good point, let’s just chuck background checks, going through appropriate & licensed dealers, and maybe we just give every kid a gun along with their high school diploma (tho I fear many of you on here wouldn’t have qualified for that.) Let’s just make it a free-for-all and hey, survival of the fittest, right? I mean, these stories of kids getting shot so much with automatic weapons that dental records were needed to positively ID them – gosh, those parents are just too darn sensitive. Viva la guns!

Betsy, you must be a child of educational ignorance. Your understanding of the US Constitution is as poor as your mouth. Try speaking to people without the tone you continue to use against those you disagree with. If you had any civics, and US history knowledge, you’d understand why people get angered by the incessant attacks on the 2A, and law abiding gun owners. Educate yourself before opening your pie hole in the future. If that doesn’t help, you might consider increasing your mental health medication.

ONLY, law abiding citizens 21 year of age with NO history of mental illness or domestic arrest should only be allowed to buy or own ATF approved firearms. All military type weapons Must be licensed and registered with the ATF. No military type weapons loaded with ammo should be carried in public. No extended clips should be installed firearms on concealment or open carry. Firearm Penalties should be consistent on violations in all US States and be very Harsh.
