Is It a Crime For Should Prioritizing Family Over Justice with Hunter’s Pardon?
Here’s The Scoop
Radio host Charlamagne Tha God recently took a caller to task for defending President Joe Biden’s controversial pardon of his son, Hunter Biden. This pardon came after months of Biden promising not to interfere, following Hunter’s conviction by a Delaware jury in June. The caller on “The Breakfast Club” attempted to justify Biden’s actions by claiming the president, after a long political career, realized the importance of family. However, Charlamagne was quick to point out the damage Biden’s policies have inflicted on countless American families.
Charlamagne highlighted Biden’s role in crafting legislation like the 1986 Anti-Drug Abuse Act and the 1994 Crime Bill, which introduced harsh penalties and mandatory minimum sentences, disproportionately affecting minority communities. These laws have long been criticized for contributing to systemic issues within the criminal justice system.
In a bold suggestion, Charlamagne proposed that Biden should extend pardons to all individuals in federal prison for nonviolent marijuana offenses, arguing it could salvage his tarnished legacy. While Biden did announce pardons for simple marijuana possession in 2022 and expanded them in 2023, Charlamagne believes more needs to be done.
The radio host also noted that black voters might shift their support to former President Donald Trump, who signed the First Step Act in 2018, a bipartisan effort aimed at reducing sentences for nonviolent drug offenders. This act has been credited with reuniting families by releasing loved ones from prison.
Charlamagne didn’t hold back in criticizing Biden’s claim that Hunter was “singled out” due to their relationship, asserting instead that Hunter faced legal consequences for his own actions, including illegal gun possession and tax evasion.
Furthermore, Charlamagne challenged the Democrats’ perceived moral superiority, especially in light of Biden’s actions. He urged Democrats to stop pretending they hold the moral high ground, pointing to Biden’s maneuvering around the primary process and the pardon of his son as evidence of political hypocrisy.
In questioning whether Biden truly believed Trump was a “threat to democracy” or “a fascist,” Charlamagne raised important concerns about the sincerity of Biden’s rhetoric, especially in the wake of his election victory. This discussion underscores the growing skepticism among some voters about the Democratic Party’s commitment to the values it claims to uphold.

No baby Joey should not have been pardoned.
Also, I do not believe pardon should be given to people convicted on MJ. They broke the law at the time. So the law has been changed. Too bad. I went through a stop sign. The stop sign was taken down a year later. They did not return the fine that I paid.

Hunter was ALWAYS gonna be pardoned – be it by second-term, can’t-run-again-so-no-need-to-appease-the-voters-anymore President Biden, by President Kamala “as-long-as-someone-else-writes-it-and-I-don’t-have-to-wing-it-or-read-it-off-the-teleprompter” Harris, or, as actually happened, by lame-duck President Biden. “But he lied to the American people!” many are screaming. So what? He’s a politician: you can’t be one if you can’t lie convincingly! He lied to get votes, like they all do – especially the Dems. That was almost rendered moot by him getting replaced on the ticket, but not quite because he then had to try to get Kamala elected. He’s out, she’s out, so now Hunter’s out, too. In Joe’s place I’d almost certainly have done the same thing and any parent who says they wouldn’t is either just a bad parent or a liar. Out of all the myriad reasons to dislike Joe, this is the least of them. Get over it!
