Authorities in Fulton County, Georgia, are investigating former President Donald Trump’s involvement in the 2020 election in the county.
Several Trump allies were subpoenaed earlier this week, including Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
“Fulton County is engaged in a fishing expedition and working in concert with the January 6 Committee in Washington,” Graham’s attorneys wrote in a statement.
“Should it stand, the subpoena issued today would erode the constitutional balance of power and the ability of a Member of Congress to do their job,” they wrote.
“Senator Graham plans to go to court, challenge the subpoena, and expects to prevail.”
