Do You Agree with Trump’s Plan to Abolish the IRS and Replace It with Tariffs?
Here’s The Scoop
In a bold move that could redefine America’s economic landscape, the Trump administration has unveiled plans to abolish the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and leverage tariffs to ignite an economic boom. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick shared the ambitious vision on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” emphasizing a strategy that would shift the tax burden to foreign entities instead of hardworking Americans.
Lutnick explained that the administration aims to implement reciprocal tariffs, a move designed to level the playing field. “Either you bring yours down, or we’re going to bring ours up,” Lutnick stated, predicting that matching foreign tariff levels could generate a staggering $700 billion annually. Such a windfall could potentially wipe out the national deficit and drive down interest rates, setting the stage for explosive economic growth.
President Trump has introduced the concept of an “External Revenue Service,” a new agency focused on collecting revenue through tariffs, harkening back to a time before the federal income tax was established in 1913. This approach, reminiscent of America’s economic “golden age,” seeks to reduce the tax burden on Americans by making foreign entities contribute their fair share.
Lutnick highlighted several areas ripe for tariff revenue, pointing out that many foreign-registered cruise ships and supertankers currently evade U.S. taxes. He also noted that foreign alcohol imports remain untaxed. Under Trump’s plan, these loopholes would be closed, ensuring that these industries contribute to America’s prosperity.
The proposal has sparked debate among economists, some of whom question its feasibility in today’s global economy. However, the administration remains steadfast, arguing that tariffs are a powerful tool to combat waste, fraud, and abuse while boosting American industry.
As the U.S. continues to navigate complex trade relationships, particularly with China, the administration’s focus on tariffs underscores a commitment to putting America first. Lutnick’s message is clear: it’s time to harness America’s economic power to eliminate the IRS, reduce taxes, and restore fiscal sanity.
This vision aligns with the broader goal of making America great again by prioritizing domestic prosperity and reducing reliance on outdated tax systems. As the plan unfolds, it promises to be a defining issue in the ongoing debate over America’s economic future.

Those that oppose it should be forced to continue to file Income Taxes and face a yearly audit to make sure they comply!
. Must be the Dems in Congress and ALL the media outlets who are opposed as no one in their right mind would want to willingly relinquish their hard earned or years of investment monies to support any nation other than our own country, and we see thru USAID and The Green New Deal how the Government in the past squandered our tax money. TU President Trump and his appointment of Elon Musk!

No, it may be the single most moronic idea he’s ever espoused – and when you’re talking about Donald, that’s saying a lot!.

most US citizens do not know that the IRS is a private corporation, HQ’d in Puerto Rico whose shares are placed in trust for the City of London, an autonomous entity in the UK owned and controlled by the same people who own the US Federal Reserve. The IRS is the illegal collection agent for the equally illegal Federal Reserve
