Do You Agree with Biden’s Decision to Arm Ukraine with Long-Range Missiles?

Here’s The Scoop

President Biden’s recent decision to permit Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles in its ongoing conflict with Russia has sparked significant controversy and concern. Critics argue that this move could dangerously escalate the situation, with Texas Representative Keith Self leading the charge against the administration’s actions.

In a strongly worded letter, Rep. Self challenged Biden’s authorization of the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) for Ukraine, cautioning that it could lead to “catastrophic results.” He highlighted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s previous shift in Moscow’s nuclear doctrine, which now includes the potential use of nuclear weapons in response to significant missile attacks. This, Self argues, makes the decision particularly reckless.

The congressman expressed skepticism about the timing and potential motives behind Biden’s decision, suggesting it might be an attempt by entrenched bureaucrats to undermine the incoming Trump administration. Self emphasized that such a move could have dire consequences, particularly when both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Putin had shown interest in peace talks once Trump assumes office.

Biden’s choice to reverse his earlier refusals comes amid reports of North Korean troops supporting Russia, a development that has added another layer of complexity to the conflict. Yet, many question whether this justifies the risk of further escalation.

Self’s letter underscores the sentiment shared by many Americans who are wary of being dragged into a broader conflict. He urged Biden to provide Congress with a detailed briefing on the decision by November 25, warning of “further oversight” if this request is ignored.

As the situation unfolds, it remains crucial for the administration to consider the potential ramifications of its foreign policy decisions, especially when they could impact global peace and stability.

Absolutely!!! What President-elect Chamberlain – err, Trump – and his toadies don’t seem to understand is that appeasement never works. Instead of giving Czar Vladimir what he wants now and pushing direct conflict with Russia down the road a few years, he needs to do everything he can to help Ukraine win, now. If he doesn’t, it absolutely WILL cost American lives within the next decade!
