In a surprising turn of events during the vice presidential debate, Democrats found themselves in a state of panic over the impressive performance of Senator JD Vance. According to NBC journalist Kristen Welker, members of the Democratic Party were caught off guard by Vance’s likability and poise as he faced off against Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
Despite months of attempts to brand Vance as “weird” and a “threat to democracy,” the Republican senator managed to present himself as a moderate and appealing figure. Welker shared on the “Today” show that she received frantic messages from Democrats acknowledging Vance’s effective strategy, noting, “He’s the most likable he’s ever been.”
Vance’s approach during the debate focused on looking toward the future, steering clear of rehashing issues related to the 2020 election. Democrats are reportedly planning to exploit this stance in future ads, hoping to sway the small segment of undecided, moderate, and independent suburban voters.
The debate results showed Vance edging out Walz, though the impact on the 2024 election remains uncertain. With Vance as former President Donald Trump’s VP pick and Walz running alongside Vice President Kamala Harris, the stakes are high. As of now, no further debates are scheduled in the presidential race.
While Walz’s performance wasn’t disastrous, it failed to deliver the impact Democrats had hoped for. NBC News’ Hallie Jackson noted the frustration among Democrats, who expected Walz to showcase the charisma that initially made him a strong choice for Harris. However, there was a glimmer of hope for the left when Walz countered Vance on the topic of January 6.
This debate has clearly shaken up the Democratic strategy, as they scramble to counter Vance’s newfound appeal. As the election approaches, all eyes will be on how both parties adjust their tactics in response to this unexpected development.

Walz lost it with one sentence, “I became friends with school shooters” but his entire performance stunk worse than a skunk

Vance lied constant as usual and it was up to Walz to correct hom and that did not happen as often as it should have. In that respect only, Vance won. He’s still a slime ball!!!

You have your names mixed up. It is Waltz who lies, about everything from his time in China in 1989, to his non-war time etc. check it out it is obvious you know very little about which you speak. Also he said he was friends with school shooters. I think you didn’t even watch the debate.

You must be blind if you didn’t see him get mad because that fact checked Vance and caught him in a lie following his ticket mate’s lead!!!!

Cheryl, you need to get your head out of the sand before you smother. Read about walz ties to the Communist Chinese Party, talk to veterans about how they feel about someone in a position of leadership abandoning them because he didn’t want to put himself in harm’s way, explain to me why he put tampon machines in boy’s restrooms, explain to me why he and his party are allowing so many people into our country to take advantage of our freedoms while taking away from the Americans who have spent their lives here supporting our country and the American way of life, explain to9 me why Kamala tells all she is going to fdo on Day One while she has failed to do the one thing she was tasked with three and a half years ago, and tell me why Kamala is ready to carry the nuclear football and protect America and its citizens in this scary day and age and please tell me how you feel about her prostituting herself to Willie Brown to climb the ladder to success. +

Obviously, Walz is not as polished a speaker as Vance is, but once he adapted to the situation, Walz did well. He hit practical aspects of governing because he knows how to govern. Vance has learned the flash dance that carries Trump rallies and has a better makeup artist, but what has he done? He is a chameleon. Switched from being a D to an R, from being a hillbilly to author of a book that derides hillbillies, willing to spread the false tale of Haitians eating dogs and cats in Springfield, then just as quick to deny he said it….Walz came through as a solid, friendly guy with an impressive record of achievement. Vance, a pretty boy with a silver tongue that will slide out from under any true commitment. I trust Walz.

This is not, or never will be, a win in my book – this is disgusting!

You obviously haven’t studied Walz’s background. Do you really want to live in a socialist country? If you do then there’s plenty of places you can move to. You should vote for who will do the job the best for AMERICA.
