Are You Concerned About Unlawful Squatters?

Here’s The Scoop

An alarming new interview with “Squatter Hunter” Flash Shelton has revealed the dire home intruder and squatter crisis that’s sweeping across America. And if you think it couldn’t happen to you, think again.

Shelton, a former handyman from California, shot to national prominence after helping his mother evict unlawful squatters from her home following his father’s death in 2019. According to Fox News Digital, these brazen intruders moved right into the property, setting up their own furniture, while state law enforcement stood idly by, unable to assist.

But Shelton didn’t sit back. Instead, he dug into the law and found creative loopholes to reclaim his mother’s home.

“I figured out that if I could establish the rights [to the home] before them and I could switch places with them and become their squatter, then that would work,” Shelton explained. After signing a lease agreement with his mother, Shelton took action.

“It was just switching places with them, becoming their squatter, locking them out, putting up cameras, and telling them that I would prosecute if they broke back in—that was enough,” he continued.

Now he’s on a mission to help families across the nation who find themselves in similar predicaments. And make no mistake, it’s a huge problem.

Shelton spends two to three weeks each month traveling to confront squatters. Every case requires meticulous preparation and comes with a rush of adrenaline, he told Fox News Digital.

One particularly outrageous case involved a woman posing as a caregiver for an elderly patient in Culver City, California. “That was the craziest situation,” Shelton recalled.

“She didn’t care. She didn’t care that I had barricaded her, that she only had access to her bedroom.”

The audacious squatter continued living in the house by climbing in and out of a window, indifferent to the lack of bathroom, electricity, and water. In her delusional mind, she believed she would inherit the home once the 88-year-old woman passed away.

Shelton warns that the most dangerous squatters are those with nothing to lose, cautioning property owners against risking their lives.

“The states that are friendly to squatters—those squatters are just assuming tenant rights. So what we need to do is separate it out. And if somebody enters a house illegally, regardless of how long they’ve been there, that should be a crime,” he emphatically stated.

My only concern is the unelected squatters residing in the White House. Anyone foolish enough to try squatting on my property will learn they chose the wrong place quickly and permanently.

I would think Squatters would be a illegal thing. I can not under stand why it is not a law. It should be a Federal Law.

It’s time for the feds to get involved and create a law that protects the homeowner from squatters. I’ll bet they would if it happened to them.

A law against squatters will never happen with the liberal progressives governing the land. If I could I would allow all squatters to enter the home without any penalty of all liberal progressives.

When did legal owners lose their rights? We need to change the law so that law enforcement can evict squatters
