“This project was initially planned under President Trump but was unfortunately canceled by the Biden administration,” Banks noted. “The installation of these panels is part of the President’s recent Executive Orders aimed at achieving complete operational control of the Southern border.”

The announcement coincided with a high-profile visit to the Texas border in Eagle Pass by Vice President JD Vance and other prominent Trump officials. Among the delegation were Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, underscoring the administration’s commitment to tackling border issues head-on.

Vice President Vance emphasized the importance of cooperation from Mexico in border security efforts, particularly in combatting the flow of fentanyl, which has devastatingly become the leading cause of death among young Americans. “We need sustained commitment from Mexico to address this crisis,” he stated, highlighting the dangerous role of Mexican drug cartels in trafficking the deadly substance.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who met with the Trump delegation, reiterated the state’s dedication to securing the border. “All our country needed to secure the border was a new President,” Abbott declared, echoing the sentiment of many who believe in the necessity of strong leadership to ensure national safety.

Under President Trump’s leadership, significant progress was made in reducing illegal crossings.
